This film is the latest edition to the World famous Film 'Star Wars' Franchise, thus putting a lot of pressure and expectation on Garth Edwards to successfully create a new perspective to the Star Wars Universe for his Audience. Did Edwards pull it off? ... Yes.
What is the Movie about?
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ultimately fills in the gap between ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ and ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’. In this, you have Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones) who is picked up by the Rebellion as they need her help to infiltrate the Galactic Empire and steal the plans to the nearly complete 'Death Star', A Weapon and Space Station powerful enough to wipe out Planets.
Along this Journey, Gyn is supported by her ragtag team of Rebels. Gyns team consists of a Rebel Intelligence officer named Cassian (Diego Luna), a disaffected Empire pilot named Bodhi (Riz Ahmed), a sarcastic intelligence Droid named K2-SO (voiced by Alan Tudyk) and Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) a Elderly blind Man who has mastered the ways of the Force.
Although Rogue One follows this team as they embark on a Suicide Mission, the cast manages to provide many scenes of humour, resilience and humility.
Review.
Although the film takes a while to get going with the first hour being based around Character introduction and development. Once the film gets going, the rest of the Movie is
really good.. .if not GREAT. Rogue One is filled with everything Star Wars Fans and a general audience could ask for, its entertaining and its action packed with massive battles, intense fights and skirmishes, which are the best to date in the Star Wars Universe.
OVERALL the Film is Fantastic and more Importantly Extra Spicy.
