Dr. Strange - Film Review

Plot Summary:
Dr. Strange revolves around a brain surgeon who finds himself in a severe accident which impairs
almost his entire body. Through desperation he insists on finding a cure for it but was told this was unlikely. After much searching, he found a place in Kathmandu which he thought was traditional alternative medicine. Once in this place known as 'Kamar-Taj', he learns the ways of the ancient one, and embarks on a journey revolving around the discovery of an artefact which changes time. Dr. Strange learns to use this artefact to stop previously exiled individuals of Kamar-Taj destroying Earth by opening a gateway to an alternate hell in another dimension.

Review:
I absolutely loved this film and have watched it many times! There is something about movies involving magic which often leads to be either tacky or completely just 'oh they're using magic', however this was not the case. Marvel successfully integrated the use of magic whilst not seeming too over the top and maintaining enough external action to balance it accordingly. The story line was clever and allowed the Marvel timeline to continue on by linking similar themes and developing the grand storyline along nicely. Whilst this movie was heavily themed around the action, there were still aspects of comedy which lightened the mood and maintained interest throughout. I definitely recommend this to anyone with some spare time, Marvel fans will love it!
