Interstellar: Film Review.

Interstellar

Directed by Christopher Nolan, the 2014 Mystery/Science Fiction film 'Interstellar' stars Matthew McConaughey (Cooper), Anne Hathaway (Brand), Jessica Chastain (Murph), Matt Damon (Mann) and Michael Caine (Professor Brand). Christopher Nolan's work has never been shy of Brilliant and this Sci-Fi adventure proves no different.

Plot Summary

Set well into the future, Earth is quickly becoming uninhabitable with a global Crop shortage and intense Dust storms attacking civilians. As a former Pilot turned Crop Farmer, Cooper works to take care of his Father in-law, Son and Daughter and ensure they have the best possible future. After accidentally stumbling upon the coordinates of a hidden NASA which was supposed to be shut down by the Government years ago. Whilst in hiding, physicist Professor Brand and NASA have been working on plans to save Mankind by sending Earths population to a new World through a wormhole in space. However, Nasa needs to find out if the planets on the other side of the wormhole are habitable. Left battling the decision of whether or not to leave his Kids in order to find them a new home, Cooper decides to embark on the mission with a uncertainty of how long he will be gone for. Along the Journey, Cooper and his team travel to 3 possible planets all in which face extreme terrains climates and consequences. Whilst on his journey, Cooper is left to reflect on his family and discover major scientific break-throughs that could possibly save the Human race. 

Review 

Personally, Interstellar in another one of my most favourite films of all time. After watching it multiple times, it never gets old. With its incredible visual effects and its grand soundtrack, you feel like you really are embarking on this space mission with Cooper and face the same challenges he does to. Although a lot of this film is based on complex Science theories and can be a tad confusing by the end of the film, there is so much more to the film. Interstellar is a film in which highlights the power of love and the importance of fighting for the greater good.
