The Dark Knight- Film Review.

The Dark Knight- Film Review.

The Dark Knight is a 2008 Superhero film based on the world famous Batman. After the success of the Batman Begins (2005), director Christopher Nolan brings the DC Universe and Gotham City to life again with a much darker tone.  Staring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Heath Ledger as The Joker, Arron Eckheart as Harvey Dent / Two-Face ,Gary Oldman as James Gordon  and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox each Cast Member provides a stellar performance… proving exactly why this film was such a huge success.

Plot Summary.

One year after the event of Batman Begins,  Batman, Lieutenant James Gordon and new district attorney of Gotham City, Harvey Dent have successfully began to round up the criminals that plague Gotham. With the Gang leaders and criminal underworld in hiding from the Batman, the mysterious and sadistic criminal mastermind known as the Joker arrives to Gotham, creating a whole new wave of chaos in the city. Performing Bank Robberies, Kidnappings, Murders and public executions to get the Batmans Attention, Bruce Wayne is left having to confront everything he believes in, in order to stop the Joker from tearing both the city and his life apart.

Film Review

Personally, The Dark Knight is one of the best movies I have ever seen. With Heath Ledger stealing the show in every scene he is in, there is no denial that he deserved a Oscar for his performance. The Dark Knight is so much more than a “Good guy vs Bad guy” film, Nolan perfectly executes so many different themes in this film and leaves the audience wanting so much more when the film is over.
After watching this film, no one could argue why this film is in the Top 5 Greatest Films of all time on IMDB and has its own international cult following.

For that reason I give this movie a “Super Spicy”
